“Embry-Riddle is a school that has the well-deserved reputation for producing students who are very focused and have a passion for aviation and space—as well as a solid foundation with hands-on experience,” says Dr. Munir Sindir, director, Engineering Technical Disciplines. “For Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne, these are the personality traits and skills sets that we value.”

“We are thrilled to have this opportunity to create a long-term relationship with Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne,” says Dr. Maj Mirmirani, dean of the College of Engineering. “We look forward to the many opportunities this will provide our students and faculty.”

While this is the first time Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne has made a gift to the College of Engineering, the company plans to continue the relationship. “The scholarship is really meant to start this long-term relationship,” says Sindir. “Embry-Riddle has strategic value for us because its students are able to cooperate with faculty in research and technology development that aligns well with our business direction. We are very excited about having Embry-Riddle as a long-term partner.”
