Impact: Athletics

Coach Ridder, team and supporters in Adams locker room.

Embry-Riddle Eagles exemplify the student-person-player philosophy that is the foundation of the university’s athletics program. Their wins go beyond sports.

Eagle athletes achieve higher GPAs and are more likely to complete their degree programs compared to the overall campus community.

Our rosters represent talent from around the world. We welcome international student-athletes from Barbados, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Catalonia, Crete, the Czech Republic, England, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, Puerto Rico, Serbia, Spain and Sweden.

The degree programs our athletes pursue are diverse and demanding, from aviation business to engineering, aerospace physiology to cybersecurity, and spaceflight engineering to unmanned aircraft systems.

Just as our communities turn out to support Eagles, our athletes turn out to support their communities through thousands of community service hours, volunteering for events ranging from youth coaching programs to beach and road clean-ups to fundraising for nonprofits that serve families in need.

Student-athletes from Embry-Riddle have also proven themselves as ambassadors to industry, landing prestigious internships with aerospace and aviation innovators. Through their drive and discipline, they graduate as high performers ready for the workforce. Former student-athletes have joined the teams at Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, MITRE, Oracle NetSuite and airlines in the U.S. and Europe.
